Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The Master’s program in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a degree in technology management, and is suitable for people with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or science. The program provides a thorough introduction to technology management, with a focus on innovation and new enterprises.
The degree provides a solid platform in industrial economics and technology management, and the candidates get an excellent starting point for a career in technology management and project management in technology companies. The program also provides a good basis for working with new products or business development.
The program
The program is two-year, and is a collaboration between the University of Oslo and Bergen University College. Lectures take place in Bergen, and emphasises both theoretical and practical knowledge. The University of Oslo is responsible for the program, awarding the master’s degree.
The program comprises of courses in management and innovation, as well as technical subjects. The technological subjects can be related to underwater technology, communication systems or software development, all relevant to businesses in the subsea industry.
For two periods the students will receive training in relevant businesses. In the second semester the students will spend three moths abroad as a part of the Norwegian Entrepreneurship Programme. Students will be deployed in technology firms associated with the subsea industry in Houston. Similarly, the students are deployed in relevant firms in the Bergen area in their third semester.
In their final semester students will complete their thesis related to a relevant company.
