This is the subsea industry in the Bergen region:

The Bergen region constitutes a world leading cluster in subsea technology, focusing on the markets for maintenance, modification and operation.
A large part of the 3000 subsea wells in the world are operated from the region.
Around 150 companies work within underwater technology in the Bergen region.
The subsea industry in the region employed 4600 people in 2008. In 2004 this number was 2500.
In 2008 the total turnover was 11.6 billion Norwegian kroner. In 2004 it was 3.6 billion.
